Opportunities

You can help SOAR expand and improve by becoming a member. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals, families, schools, and other organizations to become involved in wildlife rehabilitation and learn what is involved. Below are some ways of helping out!

Volunteer!

Conscientious, dependable and dedicated volunteers can help with many aspects of the project: public relations, feeding, maintenance, building, transportation, and much more! Contact us for more information if you live in the area or can help in some way.

Adopt a Bird

Help with the costs of housing/flight pens, feeding, veterinary care (surgery, medication, x-rays), nursing care and transporting program birds by adopting one of the birds listed below. You can receive an personal tour of SOAR's facilities, history of your bird, Thanks on SOAR's web page, and a professional portrait of your bird. This is a great idea for a classroom fundraiser!!

$100 Small bird- For example Kestrel, Screech Owl, Song Bird, Night Hawk

$200 Medium bird- For example Short-Eared Owl, Barn Owl, Northern Harrier, Broad-winged Hawk

$300 Large bird- For example Red-tailed Hawk, Great Horned Owl, Osprey, Great Blue Heron

$500 Extra Large bird- For example Bald Eagle, Trumpeter Swan
