Bald Eagle Days 2018 – Lewis and Clark Visitor Center

View beautiful bald eagles perching in nearby trees, participate in hands-on activities, and watch programs with live raptors presented by SOAR - Saving Our Avian Resources. There will be special displays, handouts and activities for kids. The City of Des Moines Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with Fellowship Baptist Church to host Bald Eagle Day on the SE 6th Street Bridge. SOAR will be part of the celebration at Neal Smith NWR! Are you interested in birds? Spring is the perfect time to explore outside and search for birds! Join us for a ranger-led morning bird hike, raptor programs, crafts and other activities. The program is open to the public and all activities are free.
