Jenni, our go-to songbird rehabilitator received a call on 3 January about a swan needing assistance. The next day, Deb and Cynthia were able to locate the swan, catch, load on a sled, and Deb transported to SOAR. A blood lead test was done that day and with the results as HI, chelation therapy to bind and remove the lead from the swan’s bloodstream was started, too.

Kay reports that the "most awful green poop" is still coming out of the swan. Fortunately swan is eating and drinking well. Chelation continues.
