SOAR’s annual release celebration has a new location for 2021!

The former Iowa 4-H Camp, 1991 Peach Ave, Madrid, Iowa

Our host for this event is the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation (INHF).

INHF purchased the entire property from the Iowa 4-H Foundation to protect the camp’s natural resources. Learn more here! The area is not open to the public yet, so this is your chance to see the camp. Be prepared to see tree damage from the 2020 derecho and structures not in their prime.

The camp sign was saved (pictured here) and was returned to the sign’s maker. He added the white paper that was the original design idea.

Join us for raptor releases (4 different species), learn about how INHF is protecting the camp, and for a trip down memory lane for some!

Bring your lawn chair. INHF will provide a porta-potty and hand washing station, and SOAR will have bottled water.
