Southern Iowa Lead Poisoned Eagle
**UPDATE – The Adams County bald eagle died on 11 March 2023 despite our efforts with chelation, fluid therapy, and easy-to-digest food.
SOAR admitted a very, very sick bald eagle on 6 March 2023. This adult was found in Adams County, Iowa.

All live bald eagle admits are tested for the presence of lead in their blood. We never like to see a reading of “High.”
