Cherokee County Conservation staff rescued a red-tailed hawk that has road rash and does not want to stand. Best guess is that the hawk was hit by a vehicle. The tail has both adult reddish tail feathers and also juvenile tail feathers, so this is a 2nd year bird.

This RTH has been moved to the flight pen and THEN dropped almost all secondary feathers! Another patient that needs a complete molt.

This hawk is doing well and when the weather moderates will be moving to a flight pen.
