Concerned co-op employees in Akron rescued a barn owl that was down. Possible that this owl collided with one of the grain bins or buildings at the co-op. We’re hoping a bit of R&R and this owl be soon ready to go. Barn owls in Iowa will head further south for the winter.

This barn owl and another admitted in early August were placed in the Whiterock Hack tower and will spend a few days here being fed before the access hole is opened.
