This great horned owl was hit by a pick-up truck in Polk County. The unfortunate part is that the owl was stuck behind the grill / bumper / valance on the truck, but was able to be extracted.

This great horned owl has a dislocated left elbow and bad left eye. Under anesthesia, our veterinarian was able to get the joint back as it should be and stabilized the wing with vet wrap. Drops were prescribed for the eye.
