Alex rescued another bald eagle off a snow-covered river, this time in Plymouth County, Iowa north of the town of Westfield. Folks out on the river came upon this eagle and the call made it to Alex. This eagle is thin and is open-mouth breathing. That means this eagle is having a difficult time getting oxygen. This eagle’s blood lead level is HI and chelation therapy was started.

The Westfield eagle was dead in her crate the morning of 4 March 2018. Another preventable death from lead.
