A hatch-year 2015 male red-tailed hawk was admitted from Woodbury County. The hawk has an elbow issue that grounded him.

Updates:

21 April 2016
The swollen elbow took much time to resolve and after the swelling went down, an already healed fracture of the radius / ulna was discovered. To give this hawk every opportunity, he was placed in the flight pen to work out the stiffness. Time in the flight pen did not loosen up the joint and to allow for satisfactory flight for hunting. This hawk was humanely euthanized.
